The Constitution of the United States is the original Great Document — the very first item I ever sold in my shop. Now, for the first time, I am offering it in various sizes and colors. To create it in various sizes, I divided the text into two prints. The first print contains the original 1787 text: the preamble and the original seven articles of the Constitution — the text of the four sheets of parchment displayed in the rotunda at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. This is the text that was approved by the Constitutional Convention, which met in Independence Hall in Philadelphia from May to September 1787, and that was ratified by the original 13 states and Vermont between 1787 and 1791.
The second print contains all 27 later amendments. These include the first ten, comprising the Bill of Rights, ratified and added to the Constitution in December 1791.
Both prints are designed for side-by-side display.
The text is based on the transcript by the National Archives and Records Administration. It includes the signature of George Washington, who presided over the Constitutional Convention, as well as the names of the other signers of the Constitution. Each article has an explanatory header (not part of the original or official text), while each amendment offers an explanatory header as well as the dates of the amendment’s proposal by Congress and ratification by the states. Italicized text and footnotes indicate how the amendments altered and superseded the original text.
The print is available in 7 sizes and 12 colors. The sizes have been carefully selected both to fit in standard frames and to retain readability of the text, even at smaller print sizes. You may print copies solely for your use in a home, classroom, or office setting. You may make and keep only the electronic copies of these files that you may need for future use or reference, and you may store them only on your own computers or in your own accounts on servers or the cloud. These files should not be modified in any way, compiled with other electronic files, or transmitted to others by any electronic or internet means.
Prints are not framed
Please note that, to keep my costs low and to pass those savings on to you, prints are not framed. All prints are shipped rolled in sturdy shipping tubes.

I strive to fulfill all orders, including custom orders, as quickly as possible—typically within one day for items I have in stock. Packing slip
To save weight on shipments, which saves shipping costs, as well as to reduce paper waste, I do not include a packing slip with my shipments. If you would like a packing slip included in your shipment, please message me at the time you place your order. When free shipping is offered on an item, note that it will be shipped via the lowest-cost service, even if you select a higher-cost service (such as USPS Priority Mail) at checkout.
Not all the items I ordered arrived in the package I received. Where is the rest of my order?
Please note that, because of the various production techniques I use, some orders may arrive in two or more separate packages. You will receive tracking information for each package when it ships.
I purchased the digital version of one of your prints by accident. Can I get a refund?
Yes — as long as you haven’t downloaded it yet (and yes, I can see on my end whether you’ve downloaded it or not). If you’ve purchased the digital version by accident, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT and let me know of the error. We’ll make it right through a refund or exchange, or by figuring out another solution. But once you download the PDF, your purchase can’t be refunded, because there’s no reliable way for me to verify that you’ve deleted the downloaded file from your computer or other storage devices.
